The Judgment of Babylon

We will now witness the judgment of Babylon, beginning with the proclamation of three angels.

“Then I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth—to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people— saying with a loud voice, ‘Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come; and worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water.’”

Revelation 14:6-7 NKJV

Last Call!

Now we going to hear three very important declarations. Notice that before judgment falls, a call to heed the eternal gospel is first proclaimed. Here is another final chance for the lost to turn to God and be saved. This angel flies over the earth and preaches to every person to fear God and worship Him because God is decreeing judgment.

Babylon Judged

And another angel followed, saying, ‘Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she has made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.‘

Revelation 14:8 NKJV

Is Babylon a literal city in Revelation 14? Or is it symbolic of an economic and cultural world system? We know that ancient Babylon existed from 1894 BC to 539 BC. It was a sinful city of wealth and luxury in the Middle East, located about sixty miles south of Baghdad in Iraq. (Read about the history of Babylon HERE.)

Or could the linear city being constructed in Saudia Arabia be a new Babylon? If you haven’t heard of Neom, here is an introduction you can view on YouTube that will connect to several others explaining more. It’s fascinating and eye-opening.

Regardless of whether Babylon will exist as a future city or as a world system, the angel declares its destruction because all nations have drunk of her immorality. The bottom line is that God will judge and condemn her.

Those Who Take the Mark of the Beast Judged

Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, ‘If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.‘

Not only will Babylon be judged, but also those who take the mark of the beast. We learned that God marks His saints on their foreheads (read about The Lamb and the 144,000 HERE). The Anti-Christ will also have his mark on his followers, which will condemn them to eternal torment in the Lake of Fire. That’s why it’s vitally important to know the repercussions of branding ourselves with 666 before we’re forced to make such a choice. God’s seal guarantees eternal life, while Satan’s mark guarantees eternal death.

No Forgiveness

Why will God not forgive taking the mark of the beast? Choosing allegiance to Satan is an unforgivable sin in God’s eyes. But is there more to it than that? We can speculate that 666 may alter human DNA by inserting something like a computer chip under the skin. If that’s so, a person with the chip will change from all-human to human and part-AI.

Altering DNA

Is this idea of altering DNA outlandish? No, not at all. That’s exactly what is happening with the MRNA shot that was given to combat COVID-19. Perhaps it was an elaborate, worldwide experiment to see how to alter human DNA and attempt to gain mind control. Although it’s denied, this experimental scientific research has made important strides toward its goal, which may be used during the last forty-two months of the Tribulation.

Motivated by fear, people all over the world readily lined up to take the COVID shot–perhaps designed as an early dress rehearsal for the future mark of the beast. How difficult, then, will it be to force the world’s population to line up for the mark? Living in a cashless one-world economic system, the freedom to control our finances will be gone. The fear of starvation may be a top motivational factor. But those who get saved and trust in Jesus during those days will know the right choice to make, and they won’t be standing in that line.

The Nephilim

We know from the study of the Nephilim in Genesis that mixing DNA results in a created being that isn’t eligible for salvation. Isn’t it interesting that the Bible both begins and ends with a mixed human race? In both cases, these mixed races either were or will be destroyed. (Read about the Nephilim HERE and HERE). Satan’s plan to ruin human DNA and prevent the birth of Messiah didn’t succeed in Genesis. Likewise, his attempt to be god and have the world’s worship in Revelation will end with his eternity in the Lake of Fire.

Today’s prayer

Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.

Then I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, ‘Write: “Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.“‘

‘Yes,’ says the Spirit, ‘that they may rest from their labors, and their works follow them.‘
